At the August 6, 2018, School Board meeting, Eva Harley Chiphe donated copies of her book, When Love Walked The Earth to the elementary schools of Marlboro County School District. Giving back to the community is one of my expressions of love. When she wrote, When Love Walked The Earth, it was to have a positive impact on the community.

Likewise, she will donate twenty percent of the proceeds from the sale of the book to Colon and Breast Cancer programs in memory of Mrs. Mollie Harley, Minister Peggy Johnson, Mrs. Diane Covington, Mrs. Elizabeth Murphy, and Mrs. Berta Mae Brown.

When Love Walked The Earth was written in large print keeping in mind that some children and older adults have eye problems. Since the theme of the book is:  Reading is a Family Affair, it is her expectation that grandparents will read the book to their grandchildren.

The I Love Club, a supplemental activity to When Love Walked The Earth, purpose is to teach children how to have a servant’s heart, and to use acts of love to spread kindness and peace throughout the world of which she hopes it will curb Bullying and other acts of unkindness.

The I Love Club is a national movement for schools, churches and community organizations. It is based on the type of neighborly love seen in Luke 10:27 “Love your neighbor as yourself.”  It’s a love that notices the needs of another person and is motivated by the desire to serve another person in need. It’s a gentle, tender love, a compassionate and sacrificial love.

The first component of the I Love Club will be a kind and loving adult advisor to lead the club. The I Love

Club is created for children in third grade and above to teach what love looks and sounds like.  I Love Club activities will focus on doing acts of love by providing Community Service Projects, Workshops on Entrepreneurship, Career Development, Coding, STEAM Workshops, African History, Writing, Publishing, and Leadershipship skills.

Book Description

How do you express love? Is it really the strongest feeling one can experience. When Love Walked The Earth is a book poised to change the world by focusing attention on love. It is a new fairy tale.

The story explores a father’s and mother’s love for their son and the mother’s miraculous power to save their family. Let’s sail down the mighty Nile River to see the action.  When Love Walked The Earth is a mythological story that adults and children will be excited to see how the lives of a father, mother, and son unfold in the ancient world of Egypt. The challenges between good and evil are evident as love is carried throughout the land to bring peace to the world.

Some children and older adults have eye problems. Since the theme of the book is:  Reading is a Family Affair, it is her expectation that parents, grandparents, and loving adults will read the book to the children in their lives.

The I Love Club, a supplemental activity to When Love Walked The Earth, purpose is to teach children how to have a servant’s heart, and to use acts of love to spread kindness and peace throughout the world of which she hopes it will curb Bullying and other acts of unkindness.
